On October 20, 2009, Evolution Markets Inc. conducted an auction of Renewable Energy Certificates on behalf of the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust (The Trust). The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC), a quasi-public economic development agency, acts as the contracting entity for the Trust.
The Trust sold the following combination of current and future year Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs):
2,515 Vintage 2009 Massachusetts "New" Renewable Certificates
268 Vintage 2009 Massachusetts "New" Renewable Solar Certificates
2,493 Vintage 2009 Connecticut Class I Certificates
1,679 Vintage 2009 Rhode Island "New" Certificates
2,859 Vintage 2009 CT Class II or RI "Existing" Certificates
1,976 Vintage 2009 CT Class I or Rhode Island "New" Certificates
The auction generated $251,309.72 for the Trust and attracted 13 participants.
