Position Summary:
Extraordinary summer internship opportunity within leading global environmental and energy commodity brokerage. Intern will work with Evolution Markets’ award-winning Global Carbon Markets, Renewable Energy Markets, and Emissions Markets desks. Candidates should be in the process of obtaining their graduate or undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, environmental studies, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on global environmental markets, including carbon, renewable energy, and U.S. emissions markets. Research will cover underlying public policy, market structure, trading trends, and market participants.
- Produce timely research reports on regulatory and legislative developments relating to global environmental markets.
- Research emerging environmental trading markets, providing analysis of market mechanics, supply and demand fundamentals, and market players.
- Build a prospective database of market contacts, information sources, and applicable regulatory data.
- Assist in the marketing of the company’s environmental markets brokerage services, including the production of marketing materials and management of online and social media resources.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Self-starter who is motivated, resourceful and able to organize deliverables and priorities for optimal value-add.
- Ability to display strong communication, professional demeanor and confidence when interacting with potential information sources, regulators or customers.
- Ability to organize market and company research into lucid, clearly written summary report(s).

Candidate Qualifications:

Position Summary:
Evolution Markets seeks an experienced individual to lead the firm’s Biofuels Desk, which brokers transactions in physical biofuels in North America, including biodiesel and ethanol. This individual would also lead the firm’s brokerage services for biofuel RINs and financial swaps, as well as structured transaction services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Evolution Markets brokerage services in North American biofuel markets.
- Act as broker in the execution of biofuel transactions, both in a fast-trading capacity and with regard to longer-term structured transactions
- Counsel clients on market access strategies, including trade execution and risk management approaches to various biofuel markets
- Develop strong relationships with biofuel market participants, including refiners, marketers, blenders, banks, and hedge funds.
- Follow market developments, providing analysis and articulation of those developments to customers
- Identify and execute opportunities to expand market coverage and service offerings for biofuel markets, building an industry leading brokerage desk in the sector.
- Facilitate the professional development of junior brokers, creating a strong team environment and expanding scope and size of biofuel desk.
Candidate Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have knowledge of traded biofuel markets, biofuel markets infrastructure, and biofuel commodity specifications.
- Candidate should also have a detailed knowledge of physical biofuels and associated fuels markets, biofuel markets logistics, and detailed knowledge of the Renewable Fuel Standard.
- 5-10 years of experience in biofuel markets as a broker, trader, marketer, sales manager or related position.

Position Summary:
This position will have a dual focus to support and develop new business related to the growing Global Biomass Markets. The second focus of this role will to develop key skills, techniques and understanding the foundation of being the next generation of brokers at Evolution Markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities will include the following:
- Analysis and generate original analysis on biomass markets (wood pellets, wood chips, and agri-biomass).
- Develop strong relationships with existing and new clients. Assist existing team with line coverage.
- Work to develop new businesses for the biomass desk and bring those initiatives to commercial realization.
- Facilitate day-to-day operation within the London office (including trade entry, pricing database management and lead generation).
Candidate Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of energy or environmental commodities markets.
- 2-3 years experience in either a sales / client facing role or in management consultancy.

This position will be mainly focused to support and develop new business related to the mature European Emission Markets in Europe (EU ETS, Kyoto Markets, and Voluntary). The second focus of this role will be to develop key skills, techniques and understanding the foundation of being the next generation of brokers at Evolution Markets.
